Apex Trader Funding review

Unbeatable for mass scaling (20 accounts), but the 6-payout lifetime cap is a treadmill

The verdict

This Apex Trader Funding review is based on the firm's current rulebook, payout policy and reputation record as of August 2026 — scored the same way we score all 16 firms we track.

Still unbeatable for one thing: mass scaling — up to 20 copied accounts at ~$268 all-in each for a 150K. But Apex 4.0's hard 6-payout lifetime cap with balance forfeiture converts it into a repeat-purchase treadmill (max ~$20,500 lifetime per 150K account), and its rule-churn history is the worst of the legit firms. For cap-farming at scale only; skip if you want one long-lived compounding account.

Trustpilot ~4.3/5 (~19,100 reviews), trending down; biggest firm ($100M+ paid) but documented legacy payout-denial pattern and serial retroactive rule changes; 4.0 automated payouts only ~5 months old

What's good

  • Cheapest big-account entry (~$268 all-in for a 150K)
  • No eval consistency rule, 0-1 min days
  • 100% of first $25K per account
  • 20-account copy-scaling — highest in the industry
  • Huge payout track record at volume

What's not

  • 6-payout lifetime cap: account self-destructs, balance forfeited (~$20.5K max on 150K)
  • History of unilateral retroactive rule changes
  • Mandatory bracket orders kill some discretionary styles
  • Trailing drawdown incl. unrealized peaks on intraday variant

Who Apex Trader Funding is for

  • Funded veterans stacking multiple accounts or copy-trading across them.
  • Budget-first traders — one of the cheapest real paths to a funded account.
  • Size traders — scales to serious buying power across account tiers.
